Within the specification module, the legally required allergens are already entered in the database. You can also add and manage allergens yourself within the module.
Follow these steps to add a new allergen to the database:
- Click on the cog icon in the top right-hand corner.
- Go to Settings.
- Under Settings, click on the orange text Allergens.
- Click on the green button Add allergen....
- Enter the name of the allergen.
- Determine the order by entering a number. This number determines the position in the declaration. Use the arrows to move the allergen up or down the list.
- Set display:
- Tick Show on label if the allergen is to be visible on the label.
- Tick Show on specification if the allergen is to be visible in the module.
- Add translations for each specification language.
- Do you want to hide a language? Click on Remove behind the label name field.
- Do you want to add a language? Click on Add to add an existing specification language.
- Click on Save changes to save the allergen and the translations.
Reference value
The reference value determines, for each standard, how the allergen should be calculated in a contamination scenario. These values have already been set for each allergen.
PLEASE NOTE: If you adjust these values, the standard calculation may no longer be correct.
You cannot delete used allergens used in the module. If you no longer wish to use the allergen, uncheck the boxes ‘Show on specification’ and ‘Show on label’.
